Korte beschrijving/Annotatie

When war is approaching near and secrets start unravelling, Elizabeth Maeve will have a difficult choice to make.

Tekst achterflap

Where lilies don’t grow, innocence dies. Elizabeth Maeve, royal bodyguard, knows exactly how to survive while staying unknown to the enemy. At least, that’s what she thinks. But when she’s invited to the prince’s ball as a guest instead of a bodyguard, something feels wrong. As music plays and people dance, Lizz’s carefully curated alibi begins to unravel. What starts as an escape escalates into a mission to stop the upcoming war. With both sides eager to kill her and the truth of her life slowly catching up to her, Lizz has to choose what is more important in times of war. Her life? Or the world’s freedom.
